For Sale: 6’0″ DK Swordfish Quad
Reese Lewis in New Smyrna beach Florida, moving some water on his 6’0″x20x2 1/2 DK Swordfish quad in knee high chop.
Shaper D.J. Kane sez, “I set out to make a fish that worked well in top to bottom surfing, but still had the fast, down the line, double pump blinding speed that helps it connect sections. This board does an off the top snap more like a shortboard than a fish. With a sleek, thinned out fish foil and modern performance bottom contours, it planes and drives off your front foot like that of a wider fish. The long continuous curve in the outline in the last 18″ of the tail makes for more stability in faster hollower waves and/or powerful rail surfing. Having no bumps or “wings” allows the rider to choose his turns more. Instead of water hitting wings and releasing it wraps the curve of the tail more and turns your back foot into a steering wheel. Letting you decide when and how tight of a turn you make depending on how much pressure you put on your tail.“
