Machado Creations Single Fins

Surfy Surfy shop rat and team rider Rob Machado has been secretly shaping surfboards for years now.

Rob has finally started his own surfboard label, Machado Creations.

Classic outlines for classic clean surfing.

The logo is the branding mark that was used by Rob’s great, great grandfather, Agustin Machado, who was one of the first settlers in the Los Angeles area in the 1800s.

Rob has definitely caught Single Fin Fever, for which their is no cure.

The shapes are really clean and well done. Impressive work.

We took a deposit on this one the other day.

Here is Rob learning how to glass under the watchful eye of Gary Stuber at Moonlight Glassing, late 1990’s.

Rob recently got the cover of Surfer Magazine. Photo by Grant Ellis.

The 5’11” is called the Tom/Taylor model.

Gary Stuber

Gary Stuber has been glassing custom surfboards since the 1960’s.
In 2005 some dipshit on an Internet surfing forum claimed Gary would soon be mowing lawns for a living because all surfboards would be made in China by 2006.
Manuel Caro shot this photo of Gary this week in the newly expanded Moonlight/Christenson surfboard factory in southern California.
