Machado Creations Single Fins

Surfy Surfy shop rat and team rider Rob Machado has been secretly shaping surfboards for years now.

Rob has finally started his own surfboard label, Machado Creations.

Classic outlines for classic clean surfing.

The logo is the branding mark that was used by Rob’s great, great grandfather, Agustin Machado, who was one of the first settlers in the Los Angeles area in the 1800s.

Rob has definitely caught Single Fin Fever, for which their is no cure.

The shapes are really clean and well done. Impressive work.

We took a deposit on this one the other day.

Here is Rob learning how to glass under the watchful eye of Gary Stuber at Moonlight Glassing, late 1990’s.

Rob recently got the cover of Surfer Magazine. Photo by Grant Ellis.

The 5’11” is called the Tom/Taylor model.

does he do old man sizes ? All my old single fins were 6’8″ and up. 7’6″ great in HI. Those outlines are clean but look compressed, curve seems proportioned and unnatural. Then again, if I could surf like that kid… who needs the extra foot or two of board. Nice sticks.

Can I order one with sidebites? I can’t ride single fins. His boards look sweet.

i want to order a year or two’s of all the boards that he makes and send them into the future and sell them. then send the money back to today’s time.
Let me know if you guys want in on this. these kind of opportunities don’t come around often.
the money guys would call this a “ground floor opportunity”.
what kind of deposit would be needed? can you guys run a second and third shift ans still keep the quality intact?
Containers in one direction, cash in another. “they” do it everyday but this would be surfer labor so it should be ok.
No matter what he says, Skip is wishing that he did this years ago.
