January 13, 2011Why are people that SUP so selfish? Whats up? I don’t care what you are on you have to cool and take turns. Where does it end? Do we all end up on SUPs just to catch waves? Plus they are all made in China, well most are. How many of those will end up in the landfills? Share waves, it feels good! Aloha!

Not a fan of the SUP vehicle in a crowded/semi-crowded line up (I’m typing like I am the voice in the video). Was at a south Point Loma reef, I will call “Cleft In The Earth” with 6 SUP fellas. Total porkers, bacon like wave gluttons. More respect needed by the hogs. Have a nice day.

January 13, 2011wtf? the guy in red is inciting folks to hate me and people like me that smoke cigars. SUP are technically illegal in surf zones as well as swim zones but you see them all the time. the law states that craft with potentially harmful paddles or other forms of unnatural propulsion shall not be allowed in protected areas. lifeguards are at fault for allowing these UFO’s (unwanted, unnatural, undesirable flotation devises) to be in these ares. who buys rusty anyway? folks that dont surf mostly. the guy in arizona was an SUP rider on spring breaks. SUP leads to hate and violance. ban them and rusty, potato chip riders too! thanks laird!

January 13, 2011I remember seeing “Mothers Against SUPers” sticker on the path to Pipes back in the spring (sorry, I’m a visitor down there and don’t stray too far from the beaten path if the waves are passable there). Maybe more stickers down at the Reef.

January 13, 2011I think in general, Internet message boards bring out the worst in people and for some reason it’s like 100xs worse for surfers. I’ve rarely experienced the same kind of hostility in the lineup that you see here.
I think if anything, SUPers are the new bodyboarders. Lot of conformist hate towards a new crop of people who ride waves differently than most. You get beat out for a wave once and now SUPers are all inconsiderate kooks. Put down the on the haterade.

January 21, 2011I made the video, but didn’t realize until now that it was posted on surfysurfy.
The video is a compilation just a portion of the actual whining by the janitors on a SUP message board. I thought that if they took the time to watch, they might just see how ridiculous they were.
For the poster that insinuated that my video took a lot of time = wasted time. You’d be surprised how quickly one can cut and paste.

SUP shortboard longboards bobdyboards etc all good just our sport is way to popular, overcrowding fuels this debate..tell strangers etc that surfing is really rubbish not cool and that all surfers enjoy pissing in their wetsuits.
Fuck it shortboarders are grumpy because their boards dont float them and most pretend to be Kelly in their dreams =
