Machado Creations Single Fins

Surfy Surfy shop rat and team rider Rob Machado has been secretly shaping surfboards for years now.

Rob has finally started his own surfboard label, Machado Creations.

Classic outlines for classic clean surfing.

The logo is the branding mark that was used by Rob’s great, great grandfather, Agustin Machado, who was one of the first settlers in the Los Angeles area in the 1800s.

Rob has definitely caught Single Fin Fever, for which their is no cure.

The shapes are really clean and well done. Impressive work.

We took a deposit on this one the other day.

Here is Rob learning how to glass under the watchful eye of Gary Stuber at Moonlight Glassing, late 1990’s.

Rob recently got the cover of Surfer Magazine. Photo by Grant Ellis.

The 5’11” is called the Tom/Taylor model.

Surfy Stock Wing Pin Single Fins Lineup

Our new Surfy Surfy Single Fins are in!

Inspired by my 1979 Wayne Lynch (left) gifted to me by Steve from the Central Shaft blog, I commissioned our local guru Mike Slingerland to shape us some new wing pin single fins. 35 years later airbrushed by the same man, Peter St Pierre.

The bottom is fairly simple for a neutral, easy going and natural ride.

Airbrushes and custom logo by Peter St Pierre

I’m supplying these boards with nice fins by Fins Unlimited.

*all boards sold, thanks!
