Surfy Surfy has reached post number 3,000!
In celebration let’s take a look at the Surfy Surfy logo. Surfy Surfy adopted the classic 1979 Moonlight Glassing logo drawn by Dana, a local surfer/artist. There has been several versions of this logo, the one you are seeing now has been refined by Jon Pankopf from Factory 101. The logo depicts the actual persons of the original Moonlight Glassing crew.
From left to right:
Elmo the fin guy. (Elmo no longer works at Moonlight, the exception to the featured crew).
Kenny the sander. (Kenny is regarded as one of the best machine surfboard sanders in the world and owns a mean full rail cutback).
Marko the glosser/polisher. (Marko has worked the night shift for 30+ years and is one of the most stylish surfers you will ever see).
Stuber the glasser. (Stuber is known for his incredible resin color work and is a great noserider).
Peter the airbrusher/pinliner. (Peter knows everything about surfboards and shreds at surfing).
Thank you all for visiting this funky little blog for the past 6 years. Looking forward to blogging another 3,000 post…
