i know, what with all those terrible FCS fin templates that continue to dominate the pro tour. These FCS really are the best, as far as every shaper I’ve spoken with is concerned. try and do tricky concaves and channels with those dinosaur Future boxes–no go. Too much box.
fin boxes aside… ain’t it a GREAT feeling to go to a surf shop, drop $600+ on a “hi-performance” board and get some crappy, plastic, flexy fins. THANKS surf industry for thinking we’re so enamored of the board (aka MARKETING hype) that we really won’t care how it feels pushing through a bottom turn? Then again, most light kids don’t really turn HARD, so maybe the plastic fins are better for airs?!
