Check out this ultra clean collaboration between shaper Gary Hanel and the Moonlight Glassing surfboard factory. The immaculate outline is complimented by GH’s performance rails and rocker. This board features a snazzy 4 oz volan deck patch and is finished off nicely by the polished gloss. The new Micro-Box fin system makes it travel ready.

September 9, 2010Quick question…how is the micro-box system different from its predecessor? Small kine change? I have several boards with the original lokbox that get the job done just fine.
Surfy Surfy!
September 9, 2010The micro-box just has a smaller footprint. I like it a lot.

September 9, 2010that sounds good. I always thought the original lokbox was too big, and if the fin didn’t fit just right, it would rock back and forth…

September 10, 2010now it needs a good 6 ft south swell with santa ana conditions. Beutiful board!
Surfy Surfy!
September 11, 2010I actually took a rocker shot and forgot to blog it.
Traditionally volan cloth came in only 8 and 10 oz. The new 4 oz stuff is pretty good. A nice option for you deck crushers out there.

September 24, 2010Love this board. What’s the weight like with the 4oz. volan – say compared to a standard sanded 4/4 top 4 btm?
