Clear and Clean

Check out this ultra clean collaboration between shaper Gary Hanel and the Moonlight Glassing surfboard factory. The immaculate outline is complimented by GH’s performance rails and rocker. This board features a snazzy 4 oz volan deck patch and is finished off nicely by the polished gloss. The new Micro-Box fin system makes it travel ready.

Quick question…how is the micro-box system different from its predecessor? Small kine change? I have several boards with the original lokbox that get the job done just fine.

The micro-box just has a smaller footprint. I like it a lot.

that sounds good. I always thought the original lokbox was too big, and if the fin didn’t fit just right, it would rock back and forth…

I actually took a rocker shot and forgot to blog it.
Traditionally volan cloth came in only 8 and 10 oz. The new 4 oz stuff is pretty good. A nice option for you deck crushers out there.

Love this board. What’s the weight like with the 4oz. volan – say compared to a standard sanded 4/4 top 4 btm?
