Sacred Craft Oct. 11 and 12th 2008

Moonlight Glassing, Surfy Surfy, Campbell Brothers Bonzer surfboards and John Cherry all have booths together this year at Sacred Craft.

Sacred Craft is a tradeshow focusing on surfboards instead of fashion like at ASR. And unlike the pretentious and exclusive ASR, Sacred Craft is OPEN to the public.

90 surfboard makers will pack 150 booths at the Wyland Exhibit Hall on the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

Admission is only $5 bucks, surfers under the age of 16 are free!

This year Sacred Craft is honoring our old friend and inspiration Bill Caster.

    hi jp,
I just wanted you to know I like your blog a lot. Your blog and your work at Moonlight.
I added you to my links on flyinglongboarder.com

Hey everyone-clear your schedules & make sure to show up for the trestles/toll road hearing on Monday at the Del Mar fair grounds. (starts at 10:30 am) Power in numbers! Just showing up for an hour and showing your support will help the cause.

Moonlight-please feel free to delete this if you want, I figured since no one had mentioned anything yet, it wouldn’t hurt to post something.
I’m just a regular old smuck who’s in love with the surfing and trying to spread the good word.
    -Thanks

    Hey Frumpy,
That massive $5 dollars not only gets you access to a bunch of stuff for sale, but also allows you talk one on one with your favorite surfboard shaper, see some cool shaping demos, check out some surf flicks, and more.
Now does $5 dollars sound that bad? Check under the couch, I’m sure you can find at least $3 dollars worth of change there, thats half way already!

    See you at sacred craft!!!

The Wyland Hall at the Del Mar fairgrounds ain’t exactly cheap so Scott Bass has to charge admission. Maybe you can grab a free ticket from someone on their way out?

and you don’t think “sacred” sounds pretentious?

Yes, we will have handmade bamboo fins by 101 Fin Co in our booth.

Sacred Craft does sound a little pretentious but don’t let it spoil your good time. Come down, pay the 5 bucks, show support for the Caster family and feel the rails of hundreds of insane surfboards. You won’t see a gathering of boards like this in Ron Jon.

You guys want to voice distain and doubt about our Sacred Craft and the meaning of the exhibition, which by the way is about much more than selling stuff, But you want to save Trestles. I guess you are just too retarded to understand the connection.

Save your $5.00. you can put it toward your next Chinese POP OUT!
