Cherry/Martin/Simmons/Moonlight

John Cherry’s 1940’s Simmons replica is only 19 lbs pre-glassing. John put around 60 hours of work into this board and Terry Martin 6 hours. This board will be ridden, not a wallhanger.

Bravo! What a spectacular looking board!

These gentlemen are true treasures in our unique, local surf culture. We should have some sort of tribute to them.

    Waves to ya,

Anyone interested in beautiful wooden surfboards should check out http://treetosea.org/
I’ve got a 6′ paulownia/cedar egg that a buddy made for me using their technique and I love it. It only weighed 8 lbs pre-glassing.
