When I was a kid October meant epic waves only, I don’t remember these huge fires. Bummer. I would love to go surf all day but that Rancho Santa Fe fire is threating to take the canyon all the way into Encinitas.
And I had heard things were looking up. I can’t imagine what its like on the ground there. I’ve got a couple dozen family members sleeping in two houses in Carlsbad.

Here in Portugal we have been seeing the fires on TV and it looks like hell! Hope everybody is ok and the fire stops and you can enjoy the nice waves that are pumping.
