Peter – I’m a little late to the party, but happy birthday! I hope that is was a great year!
When Peter lamented New Balance shifting its production overseas, I suggested he stock up on the American-made ones: “Buy a 12-pack.”
“Buy shoes in bulk?” he replied. “At my age, I don’t even buy green bananas.”
So, for Peter’s birthday, I sent him a bunch of green bananas. Unfortunately, the bananas never cleared the ever-vigilant border agents here in the Redwood Nation — as we have problems with other, um, agricultural exports.
