Bacon Bits

Marlin Bacon is one of the surf industry’s best kept secrets. He is one of those rare guys who can do it all; shape, glass, fin and sand. This is his personal board. He made the fins out of balsa wood and man, they are insanely light. The color work is a resin tint foam stain “cheater coat” and then glassed “clear” with single layer 5 oz. Sweet!

Bottom photo: Marlin fine tunes one of his creations.

nothing’s better than seeing a true artist work. Obviously he’s not doing it to get famous, or rich. Amazing! My life is better because people like that are able to do what they do.

Marlin’s boards are great and he is a good family man and he rips. I always keep a Marlin in my quiver.
