Retrofits in Action

Every north shore season pro surfers stop by the Cafe Haleiwa and let Duncan Campbell convert their thrusters into Bonzers. The surfer in D. Jones and the photog is Chris Hagan. The Board is a 6’5″ Wade Tokoro thruster turned Bonzer 5 fin.

I thought one of the keys to bonzers is the bottom channels – what about those?

It’s a good experiment for guys to get the 5 fin setup on a board they already like. That way they can really feel the difference.
But yeah, it’s not a true Bonzer without the concaves.

Of course JP is right, but the odds on
a thruster allready having the double
    are pretty good. Right?
That, being another idea that the brothers rarely get the credit!
    True?
