TheFINproject

Kickstarter Trailer Video from theFINproject on Vimeo.

Over the weekend at the Boardroom Expo I met the nice people from TheFINproject.
They have a neat film and photo documentary in the works about the evolution of surfboard fins.
To complete it they are doing the Kickstarter thing, (Kickstarter is a new trend where you grovel for money on the internet for you passion project).
Why didn’t I think of this when we opened the shop 3 1/2 years ago? Dang.
They have 26 days as of this posting to reach their goal. Good luck to them.

Aloha & best of luck with THEFINPROJECT!
I don’t have any extra kala to donate, but dig & have a lot of fins, as well as hundreds upon hundreds of pictures of fins that I have taken over the last 20+ years of all kinds of fins…wanted to put together a “book of fins” for many years now but also lacked the funding as well to do so. I have albums consisting of just fins. Hard to put anything “out there” when you lack the money to do it. The passion remains the same though…
Bonzer fins are the most efficient use of waterflow. Mahalo and much Respect for the Campbell Brothers. I love the history of the fin…ever evolving & innovating. Fins are key!
Just say no to pop-outs! Embrace & support your local surf Craftsman. Best wishes FINPROJECT!
Peace & much aloha from Big Island, Hawaii,
    Tim
