Anyone ever had an Astro Egg gun shaped for open ocean stuff (OBSF)? How’d it go?

It went totally sick bra. I let another bra ride it out their to and he ripped the poop out of it bra. Buy one bra, but only as a twin fin bra. You won’t be disappointed bra.

You are a simple minded tool aren’t you…brah.

To answer the original question, GH buts a nice rounded pintail on his egg so yes they do handle in solid double overhead+ waves. The full nose is nice for planing surface, gets you in early and paddles strong. I have had my 7’6″ egg in some good size surf. When other guys were scratchin and going over the falls, I was gliding in.

You want large face management, buy the green russ short from several posts ago. These GH’s are money, but narrow tail, low rocker and beak is your open ocean solution. Always has been. Refer to Terry Fitz J Bay 78. Answer.

How’s the 2+1 perform in overhead-double overhead point surf vs. the quad vs. thruster? Say in a 6’10”? How about barrels?

The nice thing about the 2+1 in overhead surf is you can put in the appropriate size center fin.

I’ve ridden my 6’6″ Astro Egg in big, pumping offshore point surf and it wails.

The rails/rocker/foil/outline are fairly barrel friendly.
