Too sad, such a talent. Not only a fantastic rider, but an early visionary in short equipment design. Straight side’s Wayne Lynch.

Ok…did a bit of research, and now I know who this guy is and what he contributed to surfing, not to mention the thousands of lives he inspired and touched via the all encompassing thing we here on this forum all love…Surfing.

That said, R.I.P. MP…you’ve certainly earned a spot in the heavenly surf line up (or other after life line up)…have a great surf where ever you are now…aloha ‘a hui ho!

MP had not surfed since the 80’s . There were a few other great aussie surfers that stayed out of the water too. Understanding that the surfing culture is cluttering and polluting the aquatic membranes with the excrement of vanity, selfishness, and cheap hats. I salute him and the others and hoping others will follow suit.

He suffered from schizophrenia and drug addiction. He did not stay out of the water as some sort of statement and he died pretty damn early @ 59 … sad really, but in his day … man o’ man !

Why do think he got schizophrenia? from the surf culture of course. It sparked it. Not surfing it self but the hats t-shirts stars infomercials contests machosurfdudeness trophy wife the briar and to star trek enterprize i won again and again but got nowhere and there was an elm tree growing in a parking lot of a Zody’s and I thought it would fruit if I watered it but it got mold on it’s trunk
