Backside Fish Surfing

Original Surfy Surfy team rider Bilandra surfing her Gary Hanel twin fin Fish in 2005.
When the “retro fish” came back onto the scene people were stoked on fast they were, but complained that they were hard to surf backside. GH solved that issue quickly with his “Lowboy” fins. Instead of large parallel double foiled keels , GH’s performance low profile Lowboy’s are single foiled and towed in and canted out. This frees them up, especially backside as demonstrated by our 100 lb friend here.

A lot of Fish purist at the time weren’t down with our early adoption of the Lokbox fin system for our Fishes instead of marine ply glass-ons. Now everyone seems pretty stoked.

The snappy flex of 101 bamboo Lowboy glass-ons got us stoked too!
