I was drawn to the curves, I couldn’t take my eyes away. In the back of my mind, I wonder…. how could I order a board like that. In due time perhaps.

Do the Bonzer runners have the usual, proper cant, or do the fin boxes require a compromise? What a neat looking system (and stick)

What is the purpose of the ewing rail? The wide dims make me think this board was designed for a bigger surfer rather than a step up for a smaller guy like myself (5’8″, 165 lbs). Please call me out if i’m wrong.

    don’t thing your wrong
those dimensions don’t seem right for a Pipe board

The ewing allows you to keep the hip but have a narrower tail than the Merk usually has. I like it better than a standard wing because it channel the water and gives you control and flow.

The Bonzer FCS fins have the proper Campbell cant built into them.

This board is for a bigger guy, at 5’8″ 165 this would be way too much foam for you.

The wave pictured isn’t Pipe, it’s in southern California. I had a good session there on my 5’11” Mini-Merk so I thought I would post it. 😉

in 2267, the Companion abducted Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Federation Commissioner Nancy Hedford from the shuttlecraft Galileo to live with Cochrane to alleviate his isolation. The Companion joined with the dying Commissioner to form one single human individual and she and Cochrane stayed on the planetoid to live out normal human lives.

confused as to how the ewing = lift.

i’m thinking of it as more of a ‘good wave’ wing, allowing the tail to narrow without the bulk of a regular wing. No?

Hey Guys – Just picked up this beauty and super stoked. I am not a big guy at all, got it for Ocean Beach San Francisco. The currents and paddle are always a pain in the butt so I like my boards wider and fuller than what I would might want down in socal.

Hope I made a good choice!

Got a question on fin placement JP? I meant to stop by the shop before I caught my flight to chat on that…..
