A beckoning cat?
It’s called a DarumaYou’re ‘sposed to color in one eye while thinking of a goal or dream. Then color the other eye when you’ve realized your dream, or accomplished your goal. I gots a couple with both eyes, and many more with just the one eye.

Where are they from? Is that a Japanese / Chinese Character on the front?
This was a gift from some friends in Japan. I suppose I should color in the other eye since all my dreams have come true.
