    From Patrick’s website,

On September 24, 1995 my life changed in an instant. I was 23 years old and living in beautiful Southern California. I had a vibrant, beautiful, blond baby boy who was 14 months old. On that Sunday afternoon Patrick and I were walking behind a car when the driver of the car, who was arguing with his girlfriend, suddenly backed his car up. I had just been carrying Patrick when I set him down to walk. The car hit him and pinned him beneath the car.

Stepped into a meeting today after reading the story with tears running down my face, I’ll never complain about crowds or crappy surf again… I hope anyway. Thanks again surfy for perspective.

I had the pleasure of getting to surf with Patrick at this past month’s LRO event. He is an incredible surfer and an even more amazing person. He truly is an inspiration.

I met Patrick at a LRO event in Bolsa Chica a few years ago and it finally clicked that he and I lived pretty close together. I invited him and his family to come surf with me and my friends and it just never stopped.

0But Patrick was a surfer without a surfboard, so with the help with my friends at Moonlight Glass, Dennis Murphy and others-it became a reality. This truly magic and one-of-a-kind surfboard was designed to take his surfing to the next level, and indeed it has.

    HUGE thanks to:
Peter and the Crew at Moonlight, Dennis Murphy, Mark Anderson at Da Kine (for all the hardware), Gary and Pierre at Linden surfboards for the inserts and inspiration, Justin at GoPro cameras, Kasey and Jim at LokBox, and to everyone else that made this board happen.
