September 15, 2009It is difficult not to notice that my own 101 Bonzer fin is making a high-pitched vibrant noise in good hollow waves. I have never noticed that with my fiberglass bonzer fin. It is annoying although I have not sure if it really affects performance. What should I do? Sand it to thin out the base of the fin?

September 15, 2009Pierre, run some 220 grit sandpaper along all the trailing edges of your fins. The slightest bump or flat spot can cause a humm. If the rear foil feels too thick then sanding that down will help, but be mindful not to make it razor sharp.

September 16, 2009Mine doesn’t make that sound, it may be the water making ‘tip vortice’s’ as the water moves off the tip and tailing edge. All in all its just the sign of a truly human made product, a one of a kind.. walrus
