Blue Bonzer 1999

Scanned photo of a 5’11” Bonzer5 that Malcolm Campbell shaped for me in 1999. Nice pinlines and airbrush by my Dad Peter St Pierre. I ended up giving this board to a surf stoked Mexican ripper named Abel who was in town that summer working 3 shitty jobs so he could afford some surfboards, leashes, boardshorts, etc.

Beautiful board and very gracious of you to do what you did.

Awesomedelic! I like portmanteaus. Actually, now that I think of it that would be a cool name for a surfboard … the portmanteau model.

I should clarify, I didn’t just give him a board out of charity. He bought two used guns from me and a coffin boardbag and I threw in the blue board as a gift because I let him borrow it during his stay and he was surfing it better then I could. Also, I have gotten the best barrels of my life at his homebreak in Mexico and I wanted to give something back…somehow.
