The First
Checking the results of the very first shape attempt. There is something about the Fish surfboard that inspires people to pick up a planer and a sanding block. If you don’t want to go 100% DIY we will can glass it for you.

February 17, 2008I thinks it’s Moonlight that inspires one to pick-up a planer or surform to shape a #1 and say to themselves, “hey, even if this turns out like shit, Moonlight will make it look like a gem.”

February 17, 2008There is only one sure fire way to gain an appreciation for the skill and craft of a our surfboard shapers than to make those committed cuts and deft passes with a planer yourself. And what a great feeling it is to paddle in for the first time on your own board.
Do it and feel it. You will never live it down.

February 18, 2008I think that might be the best #1 I’ve ever seen (at least in a picture). He obviously really thought it out. From the Tapered Stringer, double wings, leash loop, lam, to the Coke Bottle Resin. I’d love to hear from his how it rides.

February 18, 2008I’m With Rob Royal. As much as i loved/hated/loved/hated glassing my no.1 it would have come out so much better had it been given such special treatment as a trip to the moonbase.
Surfer Labor
