Stealing stolen pics from YDD? The nerve!!!

Nice write-up JP! Maybe the author should have tried an octafish? Works for me!!!

Wow, I think you actually took it pretty easy on him. That kind of close mindedness is a total detriment to anyone’s surfing, but hey, his loss.
If you want a board that ride like a thruster, ride a thruster. What would be the point of building different boards if they all rode exactly the same?
As for price, we all know the work that goes into any board…
So your willing to pay 600 bucks for a white al merrick computer scrape with FCS, but a hundred or two bucks more for a handshape with resin work and handmade fins is overpriced because you’ve never heard of the shaper since he doesn’t have a multi millon dollar budget to advertise in the magazines? His loss again.
Justin should probably stick to SurfDrecks.

    Loved the article….

And, more specifically, I am glad I am not swayed by the brothers Cote.

Looking to become a first time fish, speedialer, twinzer, etc. owner. Thus, my question is this: Where the hell do you start (besides the obvious experimentation)?

I love certain boards, I dislike others. My bonzer goes fast, I want to go faster…Talk to me Goose!

The Cotes are just smart asses so I didn’t take it too seriously.

    TFAD,

I hope that (finally) one of these surf magazines gets smart enough to give you a regular feature in the print magazine. The stuff you publish on that blog is better written, more honest, and more refreshing than 99% of what’s in print every month.

    Thanks.

Well put JP! I have a lot of friends that share the same views as Justin, and I too was a bit closed minded with my surfing a few years ago. Now my mind is WIDE OPEN to riding whatever I can have fun on, and I have a quiver consisting of fishes (twins and quads), bonzers, single fins, eggs, and longboards. I ride them all, and my surfing experience has never been better!

PS. I’m not trying to hate on Thrusters. I rode them exclusively for years, and don’t have one in my quiver anymore, but I’m sure I will sooner or later…

I love my thruster and my fish. It’s like having 2 hot girlfriends. I would like to date one of those bonzers someday.
