Hey man, just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy checking out your blog. You have some really beautiful photos on there, they’re a real inspiration in my shaping, glassing, and surfing. I love bonzers, I’ve made 3 of them but they’re pretty much unknown where I live (South Island New Zealand) but they seem to fit the waves down here perfectly. I’m glad to see that you guys are spreading the Bonzer love worldwide! Here’s a photo of my latest one. Keep up the great work!
I count Malcolm and Duncan as innovators on par with Greenough and Anderson-I love that they are genuinely interested in sharing their designs rather than self-promotion and they really seem to have the progression of surfing at heart. Shipping anything to NZ is ridiculously expensive! Fortunately there’s a tribe of really dedicated surfers and shapers down here to keep things going for everyone. Take care and keep up with those awesome glass jobs-

March 8, 2006I guess NZ didn’t get the word from the American surf media about the custom surfboard being a thing of the past. As long as there are guys like that making their own equipment there is hope for Surf Culture.
