Dead Kook, Good Kook t-shirt

The Dead Kooks crew from Australia has been hanging out in southern California lately.
Led by surfer/shaper Eden Saul, who has been using the new guest shaping room at the Moonlight/Christenson factory.
Eden and his team are good surfers and fun people with positive attitudes towards life and surfing. We are stoked to be stocking Dead Kooks surfboards and tee’s at Surfy Surfy.

I’m sure you’ll moderate this comment but WTF I’ll post it any way. Dead Kook good Kook? Are you in the frickn first grade? Or maybe 4th grade? This is dumb and only solidifies that while surfing is the greatest thing on earth the surf culture is just plain stupid. Starting with the New wave Stussy and ending on Kook culture. BTW they are probably projecting their own feelings about their deep inner selves .

It’s obvious they are making fun of themselves. People are very insecure about the word kook these days.

It is true the culture and this kook stuff is pretty sophomoric at best. But surfing still rocks. Not these guys. But surfing itself. I blame tow-in surfing and the surf industrial complex plotting to make surfers even dumber than they are , which should be quite a task. Alas I think .

Stop taking yourselves so seriously. Dead Kooks is just making fun of itself, it’s Australian – we like that kind of thing. No one cares if your a kook.

Dead kook good kook is “positive?” Interesting concept. I’m sure you can back track by saying its really sarcasm and satire. Right.

More arrogant hippie time bender shapers from Australia clogging up southern California. Yeeeewwwwww!

How do you do it? Taking yourself so seriously and being concerned with how people perceive you must suck. Grow up and stop judging….kook.

Im very interested to know how these new shapers make contacts round the world so they can shape here and there and the surf shops seem to pay for their shapes or boards an even have job deals, meanwhile cool and fine shapers cannot do this
…may be due to not have the right contacts?

End of Oct, Nov when the Con starts breaking I would love to see/pay good money watching you guys walking around with those shirts on caring those boards. Then after that drive up to Santa Cruz and do the same… Speaking of Kooks, now that your affiliated with Christenson Surfboards a real good friend of mine ordered a board through a reputable Surf Shop here in So Cal and it’s been over 5 months now. I mean what would be the proper word(s) or expression for that? “Whats this word coming to.”

Your friend needs to call the shop he ordered the board through or contact the Christenson factory at 760-752-3454

Blogger commenters aren’t down with Dead Kioks. Instagram commenters like Dead Kooks. Facebook is indifferent.

Bloggers are smarter . Instagramers don’t know how to read and facebookers are too tied up with who unfriended them to be concerned with some thick aussies with no worries producing bad boards and t-shirts for 8 year olds and middle aged men in bad marriages.

Hahahaaa. So what does that say about bloggers? They don’t like the name and with their anonymity they express their feelings by taking shots at Eden Saul’s brand…but when their name is posted with their comments they puss out and act all broey.

      Sad.

Surfy and Moonlight are expert surf marketers! 27 comments?! That’s Pavel level. This young cat could not have fallen in with a better local rep crew. He’s lucky–good or bad comments. Notoriety counts in biz–at least in the beginning.

Doesn’t matter. He’s looking for exposure. Good or bad, he’s getting it. Let the handiwork carry the day. They would be at Surfy if they weren’t well shaped and superbly glassed. I didn’t like Airbus until I flew one.

Exposure? so it’s a vanity things. Makes sense. Concept with no quality. Lots of hype but no delivery. Aussies are actually much more capitalistic than americans. Dead kooks are probably on the dole and bilking americans for their tshirts with birds on them.
