RIP: Captain Beefheart
The incredible Bonzer surfboard was invented by bothers Malcolm and Duncan Campbell to the avant garde soundtrack of Captain Beefheart. Don Van Vliet aka Captain Beefheart has passed away at age 69. LA Times obit. 
Malcolm gave me a vinyl copy of Spotlight Kid as a gift years ago that I treasure.

December 19, 2010I was SOOOO bummered out to her that that Captain had passed. His music and art freed up the vision making engine in my head and inspire me daily to make art. He was a singularity and somehow the fact that the Bonzer folks were inspired by him makes PERFECT sense.
