Caster 2+1 Wing Pin!

The triumphant return of the iconic Caster surfboard label heats up with this hot 6’6″ wing pin channel bottom. Shaped with a steady hand by Bill Caster’s brother-in-law Hank Warner, using Caster’s original templates. 2+1 setup with the new micro-Lokbox fin system and classic Bahne center box. Bill was a fan of fin boxes and we feel this board is definitely Caster approved. This hot rod of a surfboard is made to surf!

Built with 1st quality materials and love and care at Moonlight Glassing.

Congrats to it’s new owner Kurt who hopefully soon will be driving it through 6ft hot and glassy perfection.

This project is done with the blessing of the Caster kids and the Caster family gets a royalty of each surfboard sold. Dave Caster is printing up t-shirts this week. Hank Warner is Bill’s brother-in-law. Peter St Pierre of Moonlight Glassing was very close with Bill and was with him in his last days. Bill helped teach me to surf when I was a grom. Sorry you feel that we are “shameless” anonymous, we are very stoked on this project. It’s not like we just sold the name to Surftech or Global Surf Industries. Sheesh.

Chill out anon. It’s not like RK and Joe Baguess trying to claim ownership of Simmon’s designs.

Except for the 2+1 setup, it looks very similar to a 6’6″ Caster round pin channel bottom I had in the 80’s. Picked mine up from Phil at Select, for those that remember. Some guy named Billy shapped mine.

Mike W, I really appreciate the fact that no one can duplicate a Caster Board…..but who’d better than our Uncle Hank, I’m honored that he’s keeping the family legacy alive that my dad built (he will be shapping a board for my son soon, who’s named Billy Caster)…..no matter where I am, and I see a symbol of my father whether it’s a Caster shaped by my dad, a Caster shaped by Goodrum (which my dad approved), a Caster shaped by Hank or simply a Caster T-shirt…..it should provide stoke for everyone that the Caster name lives on.
I’m actually glad you posted Mike W, I’m sure some may feel the same way, but hope you’ve now changed your mind and buy a Caster T to represent when I get them to Surfy Surfy….
    Cheers,
    Dave Caster

Dave, I’m so sorry if there was any misunderstanding about my post. First, I am not the “anon” that posted the above criticism of the Caster label. I sign my posts.

I posted because the above board, reminds me very much of an old treasured board I had. I’m stoked the label is back. I’m stoked that Peter Pinline’s store is involved. I check out this site, not only because it is a great site, but because I worked For Eddy at Sunset way back when. I know what a class act Kenny and Gary and Peter are. I met Hank when I started working at the G&S factory the summer of ’69.

I wish you guys nothing but the best.
