The Ugly Stick

My trippy neighbor Dan taking it up a notch. He says he was inspired by a Surfer’s Journal article on flex. Reuse, recycle, resurf!

Great concept! Look under your trailer and glue to your board whatever you find… I bet he used his garden hose as a leash! đŸ™‚

JP lives in the $10 million mansion above the trailer park. Because polishing Bonzers pays the big bucks.

    Kudos to Trippy Dan!
Way to save a broken board and transform it into something with purpose! …better glass it with epoxy though, the flex will crack regular surfboard resin. Springboard off the bottomturn!
    Roll another, brother!
Peace & have a great Easter weekend Surfy peeps!

I’ve seen danny make new boards look worse than that in a matter of weeks. And judging from the lack of a dark grey, nose-to-tail, full deck and bottom wrap-around wax job, I’d say he hasn’t been riding that thing for more than a day or so. Still, wish it was me in that picture… sigh.

Hah! Just took her on her maiden voyage. She works great so long as you don’t try to do a heavy driving back leg bottom turn. I did something I have never done before on a surfboard. I turned around and rode along backwards like a snowboard staring back at the breaking wave behind me. That was trippy. It goes fast and maintains a line so long as it is at speed. I pulled into a little tiny tube and it sideslipped out. Definitely will make summer more fun.
