I have seen some TERRIBLE days around here with Dale being the only guy out, and thought “I am sure glad that I don’t HAVE to surf today!” That takes some serious mental toughness to suit up in 35 knot onshores and 48 degree brown windslop! Not to mention his physical toughness..
AWEsome! i just watched “step into liquid” and had to come and google dale. thanks for posting his story! what an amazing feat & testament to the power of commitment, determination and human endurance. after all this time, i’d bet dale would just say it’s fun! i’m even more psyched as i’ll be taking surfing lessons in cocoa beach in a couple of days! rock on dale! 🙂

September 10, 2009Here’s a tribute board to Dale. Every time (almost) when I get up early in the morning after not having sleep much and it’s cold, windy and the forecast is not good I look at this board, think of Dale and go surfing: http://picasaweb.google.com.br/lh/photo/m9aTVnlj5krFJGYwyO56tA?feat=directlink
Congrats Dale!
