A 5’11” Round Pin Tail Performance 5 Fins Bonzer
There is this guy Pierre that is a customer of ours, he is always ordering insane surfboards that should be mine. Pierre is always one step ahead of me. This board is the best, the photos don’t do the shape any justice at all. This board, it feels soooo good under my arm. I love the outline, the full nose and round tail, the nice rails, it will catch waves but without any sacrifice when hitting the lip. It’s glassed with 4/4 S cloth deck and 4 oz S cloth bottom so even with the opaque tint it’s super light. The glass-on bamboo Bonzer fins are lightweight and beautiful. It has my favorite pinline design on the deck. It has a tight wetsanded gloss, not polished so it has this badass desert speed machine look about it. I love this board.

April 28, 2009your right about the pictures not giving this board the justice it needs. I spotted this board walking by your scrub room yesterday and it stopped me in my tracks. all the other boards appeared as colorful blurs when i walked by but this gem stuck out like a diamond in the ruff. The tail reminds me of a round tail “pod” but its all business up front and with the glass on bamboos you know this is going to shred. Pierre is going to be a happy camper when he picks it up. Is the board staying local or traveling to its owner?

April 28, 2009It took 9 people to make 1 surfboard? Have you guys ever considered outsourcing? I know this guy Randy……..and all you do is collect the checks. It’s really a great idea, and that way you don’t have to pay 9 people every time a board is made. There would be hundreds of thousands of smiling Pierre’s all across the world, with thousands of these boards just waiting in the wings (warehouse) for the next generation of Pierre’s.
It will be perfectly timed for the next retro movement as well, after these boards sit in a warehouse for 15 years, and just when you thought the well ran dry, shazaam! Mo money, mo money…right through your golden years, living in a gated community in Santa Cruz.
