So how does this work? What medium is he painting in? Acrylic, oil, what? What state of finish is the board in? Is there another layer of finish that goes over his decorative paint job to protect it? Or is he painting right on the surface of a finished board?

I’m also interested in knowing the technique. Looks like acrylic, but how does that work with the final glassing?

Board is glassed and sanded. Waterbased paint on smooth sanded hotcoat. Paint must be applied thin and dry overnight. Board then gets glossed, polished and then put into ocean and gets toobed.
