that is a BEAUTIFUL board. I have a thing for the Russ Short Model .. I recently just purchased one used from a local shop, 6’3, 19.75, 2 and 5/8. 5 fin. Such a sick board.
I’m curious though, with the proper design initiative in mind for this model, is this the ideal dimension for me to be riding? I am about 5’9, about 178lbs. I’ve been riding the board with a full 5.4.3 wetsuit on, and im having a blast on it. If i were to order one from Malcolm, I wonder what dimension he would suggest, and at what wave size would I be riding the same model, only bigger ..
I remember like it was yesterday late 70,s as a grom I was out at north jetty (STRAND) should`nt have even been out on a day that big Russ screaming PADDLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I caught the biggest wave of my life. That was the day my balls dropped!. never had a chance to thank him.
Wow was just watching the Russ Short Video on your page.. He is flying on that board. I have not yet been fortunate to try a bonzer… But I am trying to save up!!!

March 2, 2008ask Malcolm Campbell himself. He helped my brother determine what was best for him and it turned out to be the cleanest board of all time.
