RIP Hank Byzak, one of the greatest surfboard buil RIP Hank Byzak, one of the greatest surfboard builders of all time. Hank was an outlier but also a gentleman. His nickname was “Hank the Crank” but I found him to be kind, intelligent, witty and a keen honest observer of surfing, surfers and surf culture. Thank you for all the clean surfboards Hank, they truly were Pure Fun.
