RIP Micah Mattson. I had just recently reconnected RIP Micah Mattson. I had just recently reconnected with Micah, we got caught up on life, surfing, skating, Star Wars and I loaned him a twin fin. He was stoked that his kids were getting into surfing. I always thought it was so cool that Micah was a train conductor and whenever he would roll through coastal Leucadia he would do a special horn tune for everyone. Micah was known for going on long bike rides in the backcountry and unfortunately he did make it back from this last one. Sad to see him leave planet Earth at age 48. God bless the Mattson family.
I stopped at the new Atacama shop on Phoebe St & H I stopped at the new Atacama shop on Phoebe St & Hwy 101 in Leucadia, to get some new surf trunks, and found this radical Jeff McCallum 5’7” Quad Fish in the rack, featuring groovy artwork by my Dad, Peter St. Pierre. If you like cool surfboards and curated softgoods give @atacama_surf a visit (they actually have parking, which is nice) Located in the former Seaweed & Gravel spot which was in the former Leucadia Surf Shop spot which was in the former laundromat next to the former Neighbor Saver Market across from the Leucadia Post Office, which is still there! @mccallumsurfboards @tapedoff @moonlightglassing
