Special event alert:
Saturday October 22nd from 10am-3pm at Surfy Surfy Surf Shop
Japanese girls from the company CYBER SHIELD WETSUITS will be in the shop to take professional tailor measurements to build you custom wetsuits straight from Japan.
Cyber is a 20 year high quality premium wetsuit brand from Japan. We are stoked to be able to offer custom Cyber wetsuits in the USA for the first time.
If you have ever had trouble finding a good fitting suit off the rack then this event is for you.
Once you’ve surfed in a real Japanese wetsuit you will be hooked for life.
How it works: You cruise in on Saturday and the Cyber girls will take your measurements. Then we will look over the catalog and put together the right suit for your needs (a lot of the Japanese suits have aggro colors but don’t worry, they can do all black). Your dims will be emailed to Japan where your suit will be custom built for you. Your suit will be shipped in Surfy Surfy in 4 weeks.
Prices are moderate high end and reasonable for the quality. Most custom suits will be $380 to $450. The line of fullsuits range from $320 to $600.
They can build a suit around your needs and budget.
These are real Japanese wetsuits made in Japan, not China.
$100 deposit is required.
RSVP on our Facebook Event Page.
Check out the selection and options on the Cyber website.

October 17, 2011These are the BEST quality. Thank you all. All the major brands are Chinese made, even Patagonia.
I praise the people that go out of there way to buy smart. It takes some work, but is worth it in the end in quality and morally.
Always check your labels on everything you buy.
Do the research and support the little guy who suffers for the cause.

October 17, 2011I’m sure the Japanese know more than Jack O,neil.

October 17, 2011Yea Jack Oneill, what he know, he invented the wetsuit, his Company has been extremely successful, provided thousands of jobs and money for surf shops everywhere. Made dreams come true of young Groms etc, the true American dream. And yes things are made overseas (which I don’t agree with,) and your comments are gonna start going negative off the hook now, just watch. Jack does know more about wetsuits then you and the Japanese. I’m sure these guys make GREAT suits. And I do own other suits then O’neill, just tired of negative comments with no proof or a good point to em. You don’t know JACK…

October 17, 2011most pros use jap rubber for their rip curls and o’neills etc.(i am told)
the smooth skin upper body is certainly the warmest and most wind resistant. (inmop)
sure, the trendy look is silly but the function is there. you just have to take care of it properly.
i loved my o’neill animal skin i had way back when.
still the best and warmest suit i ever had.
if someone could do a… made in usa, HQ ,smooth skin and with no hassle of the measuring of the ballsack, they would be a hero and make some dough.
(no logo too)

October 18, 2011They look like great suits – I would love to get more info on seam construction and couldn’t find it on their web site. I have found that the quality of the seams is the biggest factor in keeping a wetsuit water tight and warm. Anyone know how these suits are put together?

October 18, 2011are they comparable to the amazing Axe body spray made in surinam?

October 18, 2011I remember buying a patagonia wetsuit and spending 500 bucks! Thing had zero flexibility and the glue tabs tore off after the second session. I returened it to the dismay of the cocky poser behind the counter; kook tried to give me me some green guilt trip. Took that cash and bought a psycho 2… Ahhh for surfers by surfers.. Snitches!

October 18, 2011One of the best and most over looked factor that goes into the seems of a Cyber suit is that they are DOUBLE blind sticked and glued. What this allows is more over all flexibility in the suit. You don’t trade any warmth for flexibility! When a seem is taped or welded it really hurts the amount of flexibility a suit can offer. Welding or taping a seem acts as a handy cap to the flexibility.
They Cyber rubber is premium soft flexible warm rubber which is made AND manufactured in Japan! Their isn’t any comparing them to other suits. They are soo warm and flexible than instead of wearing a 4/3 in Baja Mexico I can easily get away with a 3/3 mil all year no problem. They strongly stand behind the seems and rubber and offer a 1 year warranty on all rubber. The repairs are actually done in the San Clemente office, so turn around time in quick.
