his speach after gettin the nod was wonderful thoughtful lucent and he was reaching out as a uniter. wonderful after the last 8 years. wonderful in contrast wonderful in thoughtfulness and vision and wonderful in senseraty.
lots of work for every one to do – where ever you stood – now it is time to pitch in and get things moving forward
is this cat an american? I don’t think anyone cares. how come he is still holding out on his bc? I agree w/ the last person,I think he may be correct in saying the ant-christ thing. It was scary to see so many americans almost in a worship like trance. I hope I’m wrong, but it could be the beginning of the end.so go & buy a board & help out the economy before the world ends……..bm
You’re never going to please everyone, but the ignorant comments above (anti-christ, etc.) are a perfect example of the difference between the critical thinkers and the cretins. Listen to the difference in crowd reaction to Obama’s acceptance speech and McCain’s concession. I thought both candidates did an excellent job being gracious towards each other. Obama’s crowd: cheers. McCain’s crowd: boos. No class at all, just like the anons above.
right, let’s not get too excited over Obama’s performance as a president yet because there’s nothing to see there. At the same time, clearly this ushers OUT some numbnuts. I think the real problem is on the right, since they no longer reflect “mainstream” America. So let’s wait and see. Note the anti-christ guy and how out of place he seems in this discussion. A good sign!
Come on admit it, all you right wing nuts are all over the top hypocrites who continue to live day to day like blind droids and don’t open your eyes to the fact that your republican ideals both socially and fiscally are not working. They have been extremely counterproductive for quite some time now, and change is needed.
You invest so much time and effort pointing fingers at our new president and our liberal free-thinking ideas, yet don’t have the balls to admit that you guys are the dumbasses who voted for the idiot we have in office right now, and are partially to blame for the rut we are in.
Just look at all you social conservatives on the side of the road supporting Prop 8, what a waste of space, a waste of a good opportunity to actually back something that can help everyone not just your outdated, ridicules morals.
The anti-christ? Boos at McCain’s Speech, its time for all of you losers to pipe down and stop ruining everyone’s lives like you have for the past 8 years.
You guys made me cringe every time I saw a “support our troops” sticker , feel embarrassed to see the American flag, get depressed every time I heard another illogical broken promise from our president.
Today I’m raising our beautiful flag for the first time in a long time, and can honestly say I’m proud to be an American. Rather than complain some more, you right wingers should do the same.
I like Obama’s form in that pic … clearly the man knows how to bodysurf.
An intelligent, articulate, thoughtful president who inspires … I almost forgot what that is like.
Re Prop. 8 – It was proposed in response to the Cal. Sup. Ct’s opinion. When that opinion came down, it made zero difference in my life, I wouldn’t even have known about it except for the press coverage (except maybe having to congratulate more people and buy more wedding gifts). Why people go out of their way to try to make others unhappy, I just don’t understand.
If we can put aside the partisan differences and rib poking for a moment…
You have to understand that I have a new perspective of America now that I have lived outside of its borders for the last year. You come to realize how much you appreciate your country when you live overseas and how much you are held to account for your countries actions, what your countries image really is, when you live in another country.
Australia is one of the strongest allies of the United States but the thing that surprised me the most, is the amount of anti-US sentiment that abounds here. If I go to a bar or a party, and someone hears my accent, the first thing out of their mouth is usually about how disappointed they have been with the actions of the US in the last eight years and how much they dislike what America has become. They are vehemently anti-Bush and against everything that the Bush administration stands for. Since I have lived here, I have never had a positive response to the discovery that I am an American, I find myself on the defensive at every discussion, and that is living in the country that is one of our biggest supporters, not France, and not Russia; Australia.
So many koolaid drinkers. When the shit hits the fan you will be crying in it. I have my guns locked & loaded.Oh you can bet it will hit the fan too, JB has predicted it. & just turn on the news. Russia has made it’s statement. Iran. the stock market, this is just the first day. The American male has turned into the biggest bunch of pussy’s.We will get what is coming to us now.
If we “get what’s coming to us” it will definitely be due to the past 8 years. Have any of you guys heard/seen/read the positive global reaction to the outcome?
But, I understand these right-wingers deny everything, admit nothing, etc. That’s pretty convenient isn’t it?
“By shit hitting the fan”, I’m guessing you mean a better economy, an end to a pointless war, better relations with our allies, a positive global image, and a respectable intelligent president. If thats the case, I say bring it on, I can smell it already…
P.S. I love how the conservatives always refer to guns or something when they are scared, what a bunch of weenies, haha!
So I’ll be crying in the Koolaid? Or will I be crying in the shit, or the fan? I don’t think you can cry in either of those, maybe on them but definetly not in them. And your guns will hit the fan as well?, Now I’m confused. Too what?
Interesting so many anonymous critics! I know yer in there somewhere Beetle. And I agree the McCain speech was a disgrace, not just the crowd of ALL whites booing. He did not nearly enough to settle that bitter loser’s emotion and racism. Just saying,”Oh no, no” is not nearly enough. I believe McCain IS a good man at heart, which is why he needs to hit the airwaves and FOR REAL settle his pack. They’re a dangerous group. Hopefully now Palin will get nailed on her real record and her secessionist husband will be outed as well. I would love to get back my respect for McCain. All in all, a great night and the speech????? Well, now we have a smart guy going to be prez! Who did’nt get a bit teary during THAT?
Don Johnson coudn’t give a rats behind about America! I can’t believe you’re falling for his old tricks. Just like when he got 2 Ferraris and I got an old boat of a Cadillac.
I’m tired of living in Crockett’s shadow. You be the judge and decide what makes America tick:
Wow I read all these comments and you people are weird. The pic just shows that our new president enjoys the beach as much as we do. Dont make such a big deal about it.

November 5, 2008the problem with people from United States, is that they believe that they re the only Americans
nobody say that word until the WWII
America is bigger than USA
