Six Eight Two Plus One

Tuesday, June 19, 2012

One of the benefits of living and working in North San Diego county is the access to talented underground shapers like Mike Slingerland, who can create updated versions of their classic templates.
Take this 6'8" for example, 1970's single fin evolved into a 2+1 with update rocker and modern fin system. 21st century polyurethane foam made in 'merica and glassed/sanded by local hepcat surfboard builders who dedicated their lives to the craft of surfboard making.
It's a great time to be a surfer we tell you what.
6'8" x 21" x 2 3/4"
Nice soft blended rails (reach thru your iPad and feel them up), slight nose concave, some vee in front of that fin box.
All surfboards at Surfy Surfy Surf Shop include fins because it's the right thing to do.
