But speaking for myself I do have a need for speed, I LOVE when I get a fast board and it flows and glides effortlessly across the wave. The waves we surf; 90 % of the time are slow and mediocre. Spent many years working on shapes, rails, bottoms, ROCKER, bla bla bla to get those things to fly, and i'm more of a mid length + type of boarder.

That I do admit. I love making impossible sections and coming up under the lip so fast that I don't need to put much into it to get a style smooth fan with hardly any effort. Hate boards that are dogs and SLOW that make you grunt. My boards are mainly built for speed and i'm not even a short boarder. Makes me happy and not you, who cares.
