  2. What size center fin for the shortboards? I agree he looks better on a bonzer.

  4. He looks like there's a little "hitch in his git-along" when he does those little vertical snaps - although to be fair, that could have something to do with the softness of the wave. But when he:
    * comes off the bottom
    * draws out a turn
    ...he flies.
    I won't go so far to say he should give up the thruster...but at this stage of his career? At a pointbreak? A J-Bay? Bonzer. F#*k and yes.

  5. Too bad you don't see all the outside set waves being dominated by the local transplants on there pre 1983 backyard shaped twin fins and single fins. hhahahahaha. He had a good session that day, but my friends on the bluff said I won the heat. lol
    I need to get my 6'8" bonzer down here It would have gone great on the last swell.

  7. Of course it is Taylor and he can rip on anything, but he looks a bit slow in connecting the mush sections (that most of us surf on a daily basis.) I wonder how fast he would be on a "skatey" fish shape.

  9. Taylor is riding Mick Fanning's Bonzer in this video. It's very thin and narrow. I would have liked to see him riding his wider Bonzer in that session for those waves but I guess it was loaned out to a friend.
    He had the standard 6.5" center fin in there.

  10. You guys are crazy. Tk is shredding in this video. Compare to Slater videos of Slater of quads and twins at malibu and Rincon. Taylor's surfing is 100% committed. The slo motion reveals all.

  11. Try that bottom turn at the 1:09 mark on your twin fin.

  12. Everything after the 2 minute mark is sick. Have fun going straight on your mini simms tomorrow.

  13. On the Knox video: 1:01 ... Brutal!

  14. TK has one of the sickest frontside cutties in the biz and has for the past 100 years! It is interesting to compare his surfing to the Russ Short clip. Too bad they've taken down the nose volume on the modern boards... no more walking to the tip to connect sections...lol

  15. I love to watch that 70's style hand grab in the bottom turn during the Russ Short video. I totally dig the cheater 5 high in the curl, too. 70's masters are just too fluid...
