Surfy Surfy got a mention on page 117 of The Narcissism Epidemic: Living in the Age of Entitlement by Jean M. Twenge Ph.D. and W. Keith Campbell Ph.D. I'm stoked! I'm feeling pretty special about this and...uh oh.

Yeah maybe not the best place to cop a mention - but congrats!
ReplyDeleteTwenge is ok; i got a laugh out of Generation Me. Some of her stuff is clearly personal observation, but it's pretty funny.
ReplyDeletei looked at surfy surfy tonight, just after i cooked a delicous tuna, tumeric and eggplant curry. i like to put a little organic tamari through the rice for a nice juxtaposition of flavours. it is difficult to make the meal look good for serving to guests. has anyone got a good idea for presentation? feel free to correct my spelling. love your work.
ReplyDeletesurfy surfy is thee only non narcissistic(mostly) blog i can think of besides business blogs. although you can find narcissism everywhere.
ReplyDeletestill i don't see blogs as a negative at all.
nice one JP.(kinda narcissistic to show us though. it's all about YOU...eh?///Ha!!!)
no winners.
Narcissus was known to stare at the water for hours, and he liked glassy conditions. I'm just sayin'...
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why my blog wasn't mentioned. It really is the best and shouldn't be ignored by these so-called scholars who clearly let their board-envy color their judgment.
ReplyDeletehuh? is this a study of modern day lineups?

ReplyDeleteThat was quite witty.
WOW!!! That's amazing! I like the topic, too. I was just reading an article about Big Sur in The Smithsonian and it was talking about how the kids there don't have phones, tv or malls and they have a real feel for the land.
