Thanks for the Post JP! I really hope to see the moon crew in the house. Also, one minor correction: The new phone number is (562) 342 4401. I was deep into the night and drinking of wine when I wrote you.

Shelter is reason enough to venture to the innards of Long Beach, however, the shop is located on a very hip little section of 4th St. with lots of neat stuff to see. Last week I saw what looks to be a cool little eatery about to open up. I don’t know much about it except that the words “beer” and “noodles” were etched in the front window. Shelter, beer, noodles–what more could you ask for?

If you ask, we generally have some coldies in the shop but the place you mentioned is going to be awesome. Its actually a pho restaurant that makes the noodles using organic vegetables and free range meats.

It is owned and operated by a husband and wife team that lives next door to us here at Shelter.

I for one am pretty excited

Thanks for correcting the post JP!

I lived many years off Broadway & Cherry while I suffered through my undergrad work at CSULB…

Probably would have been less years of suffering had i spent less time surfing Huntington Cliffs, Palos Verdes, and other spots…

Best surf memory ever though was an extreme south swell that found its way throught he breakwater and created a perfect 4 foot peak at Belmont Shores…

Too bad all those other losers found it too.

    Good Luck with the shop.
