  6. You're an artist John!
First time that I see the "scarfing".
Would be cool to see these posts more often since that is what really gives boards a soul.

  8. I don't know about this board, but alot of the balsa boards that John brings to the moonbase are chambered and are super light.

  9. Thanks for all the kind words guys.
    to answer a couple questions:
The numbering in the sections is simply to keep the sections in order during part of the process. The small marks on the surface section correspond to the template. they ar a map of where I will spot-glue so I can take the blank apart to do some chambering.
The unshaped blank weighs 40lbs. I will chamber out just enough weight to have an accurate, rideable reproduction, hopefully around 30 lbs finished weight. Terry Martin will shape it and I will finish it. This board will be ridden often by myself and friends in the surfing community. The Harley is an 03 Heritage.it looks more like the Fatboy after I customes it out, wheels, handlebars, lowered, etc.

    aloha,

    John Cherry
