Some years ago surfer/shaper legend Mike Hynson teamed up with the gang at Fort Hobie to make a limited series of bitchin' replicas of the board Mike rode in a small surf film nobody has ever heard of called Endless Summer.



9'6" crisp shape with beautiful stringers, volan glass job, hot glass-on fin and the iconic red, white & blue pinstripes.

This brand new surfboard for sale is a 5 fin Bonzer "Octafish". Handshaped by Malcolm Campbell for the Moonlight Glassing showroom, it arrives just in time for upcoming crisp fall swells (or milking the last weeks of summer).

This board has a two tone Ochre airbrush and brown pinline by Peter St Pierre.

Glassed with 5/4 oz deck and 5 oz bottom it's built to last without feeling heavy.

The Octafish doesn't surf fishy, it performs when you need it and isn't shy of hollow sections. The E-wing smartly pulls in the tail and provides lift in trim.

Glass-on siderunners with center box with gloss and polish finish.

Guy Takayama's pro noseriding event is happening this weekend at the Oceanside Pier. This little twin fin fish featuring a Dick Dale portrait by Wade Koniakowsky will be actioned off for charity. I believe that Dick Dale is playing a free show there this afternoon.

Event: 70's Surf Flick at California Surf Museum, Oceanside

The California Surf Museum's 2007 Surf Film Night, in association with Oceanside Museum of Art's; "The 70s: Surf Photography by Jeff Divine", presents a one-time showing of Hal Jepsen's 1975 psychedelic surf classic, Super Session this Saturday, August 18, in Oceanside's Civic Center Library Community Rooms.

Preceding the film will be a short, FREE reception will take place from 6:30-7pm at OMA for all peeps to view Jeff Divine's classic photos and boards.

1976 World Surfing Champion Peter Townend is scheduled to introduce the film with a few words about Hal and the 70s era and call the raffle winners.

The surf museum will host a short raffle featuring two signed Jeff Divine items and a few Hal Jepsen-signed original Super Session movie posters, etc.

Admission is $5 for the film viewing, or free to CSM and OMA members.
