Point Surf Baja Internet Cafe









My brother-in-law, Trusty Dusty, owns the Point Surf Baja internet cafe in town near the points. It's still a work in progress and will undergo many improvements this year. Besides internet access, espresso and shave ice; the best resource is Dustin himself who is a licensed translator.

  1. Ahhhhh! You guys are so lucky! After 3 days of Nor'easter gnar-gnar here in NY you torture us with those blue skies and long lines! JP, your dad is teasing me about my board being done. Would love to see the proof! Guys here are actually busting me that you took it to Baja! If so it will be the best surf it will get for a longggggg time if ever..

  3. Ma and Pa Smith are pretty excited to get down here this year and get this place dialed in. JP saw it and just went, potential man! This will be our summer. Plumb the bathroom get the frontage all dialed, stock up the surf necessities and much more. I'll be taking down 3 more computers at the end of this month

  4. As rough around the edges as it is, the cafe has already become a vital resource to the local population. The fishermen now have access to important weather forecasting and their families are using e-mail for the first time to contact relatives across Mexico.

    During last year's big hurricane the military used the cafe as a command center. The army's communications went out but Dusty's cafe connection kept working during the entire storm.
