It's got the classic cosmic space scene with the Sacred Serape of Soul crossing the universe.

The icing on the cake, lightweight and strong bamboo wood glass-on siderunners.

E-Wing rail to pull in the tail and keep that nice hip to cutback on.

5'6" length
20 5/8" width
2 5/8" thickness
Double 4 oz deck with third 4 oz "butterfly" deck patch. 4 oz bottom. Feels nice and lively under the arm, especially with the bamboo siderunners. Glossed and polished finish.
Handshaped by Malcolm Campbell out of a quality US Blank.
Artwork by Peter St Pierre (c).
This board is SOLD.
Beauty of a board... Wish it was around the 5'10"-6ft Range..I hope it finds a happy home
ReplyDelete'hello, I'm mr yellow bonzer and for breakfast this week I'll be mostly eating kellogs chunky barrels'
ReplyDeleteBeautiful board.
All these octafish look so sweet.
ReplyDeletewhat does the octafish most ride like - a fish, a quad, a speeddialer???
Also - how do you ride them size wise, same as your fish, same as your shortboard?
Thanks for any info -

all those extras and under $900? deal of the month!
ReplyDeleteThe Octafish should be ridden the same size as your fish.
ReplyDeleteIt's surfs more positive, more forward than a fish and you never have to hold back and milk your turns. You can go vertical on the Octafish!
You can surf the Octafish aggressively or just cruise and trim. It's up to you.
This is one of the higher priced shortboard Bonzers we've done. I've seen non-Campbell brothers Bonzers going for $900 that in my mind, don't offer as much as this board.
i'm riding mine the same size as my fish. i like it much better, the 6.25" point to point and that center fin really make it a lot easier to get tight turns...especially backside. still trying to figure out how to get that quick hook up on steep sucking beachbreak, but it's more versatile than any of the other fishy templates i've ridden.

2 JPs riding bonzers is very confusing.
ReplyDeletewhen i post comments to this blog i'll use 'joel'. JP has dibs.
ReplyDeletemine is the second 'jp' post. sorry for the confusion.
joel
There are four siderunners + 1 center fin..
ReplyDeleteWhy is it called an "Octa"fish?
Because it's 8 times as awesome as a normal fish.
ReplyDeleteAnd!
ReplyDeletebecause Chuck Norris rode one in The Octagon.
"You can go vertical on the Octafish!"
ReplyDeleteyou can go vertical on fish too ;)
Fingerprinted this board extensively the other day. It's pretty amazing and I'm sure is going to put a perma-grin on someones face for quite a while.
ReplyDeleteum, I meant beyond vertical. Yeeesss.
ReplyDelete(Excellent JP, you covered that nicely)
My eye is twitching...must visit moonbase tomorrow on my lunchbreak!
ReplyDeleteOctafish is a Captain Beefheart reference
ReplyDeletei fingered this board yesterday.....its nice, rails felt full so it seemed you could really ride this one short, i'd probably order a bit longer and thin the rails my self.
